I am so nosy it's crazy! I like to say that I enjoy "people watching" because it sounds so much better. But lets be honest..I'm nosy! I come from a very long line of nosy people. The Greeks in my family have made it an art form(seriously)If they suddenly start speaking Greek its cause they are talking about someone near by.My Thia's leave a restaurant knowing the waitresses full life story and probably her cholesterol level. So it's in my genes along with the extra thick calves and eyebrows. But its good too, because we are never bored. When delayed at the airport, no problem just perch me in my chair and let me be.I try to figure out every ones life, what their relationships are, and strain to hear the conversations while pretending to read my book. Steve will be talking and then suddenly realize I am not listening to a word he is saying but to the couple behind me. So once they leave I can tell him their whole story. And every single time he wonders why I care? (Again the man does not get me) He has always teasingly called me Mrs Kravitz. If you grew up in the Betwitched era you know who she was. The always nosy neighbor of the Stephens. Well I resemble resent that. Its not like I stand by the front window staring out..Sure if there is someone out there I might glance for 15 minutes. It's just the way I am wired.I don't miss a trick and I like to know the scoop. But I have always prided myself on never repeating gossip, so you will have to listen carefully the first time.
Well, as they say, "enough about me, let's talk about you...whaddayathink about me?"
Just kidding...

I guess Casey's hubby saying we were one curtain away from being Mrs. Kravitz should include you, too~!
They did a study once where they told people to sit in a small room and read and concentrate on something on the computer, but in the background were people talking. Men had much less of a problem with tuning out the conversation behind them and paying attention to what they were supposed to be doing than the women. Ahem. I resemble that remark, too.
It drives me insane to not know what is going on in every conversation around me.
I absolutely love the line about not repeating gossip and, of course, now I will listen carefully the first time you tell a story~!
The Morgan women are the same way...but we're not greek, dunno what the excuse is..maybe the Catholic roots? haha Love your honesty as always. If you ever wanna know my 411, I'll willingly tell you! My confession=I'm an open book and I say TOO MUCH, often. :)
Kathy I didn't know Caseys hubby says that too. We three are kindred spirits! And Sara that is too funny. I too had Catholic roots so that probably adds to my problem. We two open books need to do lunch one day. We can take turns talking and try to sit without any one else around so we wont be distracted. Thanks for the comments girls.
Come to think of it, maybe that's why we love blogging. Not only can we spill out guts, we can read up on what is going on with other people, and they invite you in to do it~! It is so weird to meet a woman who is not a "gossip girl." They seem kind of alien. I mean it is one thing not to have the girly girl gene but the no gossip gene? See, another Ph.D thesis in the making.
Sheesh, I didn't know I was Greek!!
OMG! I could seriously copy and paste your blog to mine and no one would know! I am totally a eavesdropper! My hubby to sometimes has to bel ike " Heather are you listening to me or the people in the booth" and I tell him " there fighting about money" " is it our money " he says " No" I answer " THEN WHO CARES!" He just doesnt get it! I always thought I was the only one!!!

Oh Karen, I have the WORST habit of staring at people. I really don't mean to do it, but sometimes I will catch myself and realize I have been staring at someone for several moments. I really am trying to improve at this, but let's be honest... some people just scream, "Look at me! I'm weird!"
