Au Voir

We're off...to the city by the bay "San Fransisco" I am a little stressed only because Steve just casually said from the other room " Hey hon lets just take carry on luggage so we wont have to check our bags" ???? Then I hear Chad reply "Yep that's what I am going to do" What the heck? Who are these people? We are expecting very cold weather and probably a fair amount of rain.I am thinking I need a 'carry on' just for the scarves and mittens. We are usually two peas in a pod but when it comes to travel, the man does not get me.As for me I am going to pack my big ole suitcase and they can wait in the car while I stand alone at the luggage carousel waiting for my bulging suitcase to spin around. A 'carry on' ? No thanks, not for this girl. Thankfully because it's only a four day trip I am confident I will not have to unpack at the Southwest counter because of the weight limit as I have had to in past trips. I normally could count on Steve to "help a girl out" and he would take some of my clothes and shoes into his bag (all the while rolling his eyes & dying to say I told you so) But this trip his 'carry on' doesn't look too promising. Maybe I can get by with only a few jackets and less shoes? Have a terrific weekend everyone!! I will be back soon with photos, food reviews and stories. And my heart...I have no plans of leaving it in San Fransisco

Ohmygoodness I hope you have SUCH a great trip! We are actually headed up on Saturday to visit our friends who live about an hour or so outside of San Fran. We are going to make the drive to Tahoe from there and go snow shoeing! (Yikes, I am probably so going to fall and break my ankle)
RE: the luggage thing... I have a similar dilemma. I am going to Utah next week to visit my nephew. It is a short trip and Delta now charges for the first checked bag so I am tempted to carry on... I just don't think I am going to be able to fit cold weather clothes into my carry on!!

AMEN to you Sista!!! A carry on???? No Way!!! You must have lots of shoes and cute outfits even if they are covered up with coats and scarves, you have to know that you look cute underneath! So have a wonderful time, you traveling maniac! Let me know if you find some really good places to eat, if so, we might make another trip there (I've told you we plan all of our trips around FOOD)!

Oh my heck. I took 43 outfits for my 5 day honeymoon. And then my bag busted open on the carosel and all of my lacy and sexy bras and undies were rolling along. Poor Raleigh calmly gathered them up. I mean each and every one and put them in my bag while I hid in the corner, mortified. Don't feel bad for him though, all the men were like... "right on dude." Good times.

I am such an over-packer... no carry on for this gal. My sweet husband packs two outfits for six days. I on the other hand pack three outfits per day... because you never know what the weather will be like, or what you will feel in the mood to wear that day! Have fun in San Fran. Sounds like it is going to be a good time.

My goodness. 43 outfits. It was a honeymoon, right? I would think your "birthday suit" would have been the outfit for the day~! I would love to have seen that though. Lucky no obnoxious kid took off with one using it as a sling shot.

What is it with men and carry on luggage? Unless you travel bunches, it is all part of the adventure of traveling to stand by the carousel waiting for luggage to come shooting down the chute and realizing you have no idea which suitcase is yours and you have to wait until everyone else picks up their stuff.
