I am lovin....

Sometimes I just really love things and want you to know !
{ because maybe you will love them too }
 I get way over excited about things and food and books and music
And I assume everyone wants to know....
So here are a few of my favorite things lately

Boom Chicka Pop ~
I had this at the kids house and went nuts over it ! I text Ashlyn and asked where she gets it and she said Target ! So I stopped on the way home and bought 4 bags ! It is so delish and pretty healthy
{ unless you eat the whole bag in one sitting,but who would do that?? }
Do yourself a "flavor" and get a bag or seven

On Valentines I wanted to make Carter a special dinner. He is a meat and potato guy  so I usually make a heart shape meatloaf with ketchup on the top. But I wanted to make something more fun. I usually never make Sandra Lee recipes but saw her make this Salisbury Steak one day and it was rated 5 stars!

So I  tried it with mashed potatoes and corn and he LOVED it ! It was pretty darn tasty and we will for sure have it again. I even used the cognac it called for and it added great flavor.
So retro ...but yummy
So if you want to  try a new recipe click here and give it a whirl. You will be wanting to eat it on TV trays next to the lava lamps  !

I got this great hair stuff from my sweet daughter in law for Christmas and I LOOOOVVVEEE it!
It smells so good and makes your hair so soft and healthy.  I spray a bit on while my hair is damp and then dry as usual. It is magic ! Another one of the fun reasons I love having a daughter in my life. She gives the best gifts  !

If you like Greek yogurt you will love this one ! I am hooked on the Vanilla with almonds.
It is creamy and flavorful and they give you just the right amount of yummy toasty almonds to add in. It is 200 calories but with all the ones you save by eating the popcorn you can indulge   :)

And of course no post of what I love is complete without this guy !
He knows his YaYa so well now and I love the way he says my name. He is the cutest kid with the sweetest heart. I am headed down to see him tomorrow so Ash can get her hair done and I am counting the minutes until I can squeeze him to bits.  On March 1 he will be 2 ! Crazy how fast it went.  They are having a brunch and the invites were darling. They were tied with a little yellow string so that's why it is showing, but just look at this cutie with his pancakes !

I love you all and wish you a happy week filled with things that delight you !
And lots and lots of giggles !

OK, so I'm on my way to Target to get the popcorn. I printed the salisbury steak recipe and then I'm headed to Albertson's to get the ingredients. Where do I buy the hair stuff? Sorry, not a yogurt fan AT ALL, not ANY kind! You sure do have a darling grandson, he is so so cute. Can't believe he's going to be 2, time really does fly by.

I have to tell you something funny. We've been watching some of the Olympics and whenever the speed skating is on I always think of you. The year that Dan Jansen had all those mishaps and then finally won the gold medal, we were working together at Albertson's in Corona. The telecast was delayed that year too and we could find out ahead of the primetime broadcast who had won. You are the one who told me he had won the gold medal FINALLY and I was so happy to know before I watched it on TV. Now I just Google the winners, so I know who won and lost before I watch it. I like it better that way, but all those years ago YOU were my Google Girl. Thanks! Love you.

P.S. I have a new favorite thing that I want to share with you (although you've probably been using it for years, etc., because you live in California and I live in the boondocks of Utah) BUT it's a manicure and pedicure scrub by OPI. It comes in a big tangerine colored tube and it's Mango/Pineapple. It smells soooo good. I keep it in the shower and use it on my heels and my shower smells so good for the rest of the day. I love it.

Also I have a new cinnamon bread recipe that is so easy and delicious. I will email you the recipe if you want it. It makes 3 or 4 loaves and if you make 4, it's nice to give away to a friend. I made some for Valentine's Day gifts but I used wheat flour (trying to make the effort to be more healthy) but it wasn't nearly as good as with white flour so I won't be doing that anymore. hehehe I guess I'll just die young.

I don't know if I can read your blog anymore. This one cost me $45 (rough estimate). By the time I bought the popcorn ($3.29), It's a 10 ($19.99 for the very small bottle...YIKES!!) and the ingredients for the salisbury steak, I'm pretty much broke for the rest of the month!! JK...... JK stands for Just Kidding but Kaci informs me there is a certain degree of truth in every "Just Kidding" and I guess there is a certain degree of truth in my "broke" description so disregard the "JK"......

We loved the salisbury steak and we ate the popcorn while I was cooking dinner. I haven't tried the hair product yet but that's on tap for tomorrow (I wash my hair every other day). Thanks for all the good tips......I'll be back next month after I've recovered from this one!! JK

Hey Sophia. I got a little teary this morning as I read Stephanie Nielson's blog and for some reason I thought of you (it didn't remind me of you, I just thought of you), maybe because she writes/loves beautiful things and so do you. Anyway, I don't know if you know her story or anything about her but she writes on her blog Monday thru Friday and it's pretty inspiring (most days). If you haven't looked at it, please do. nieniedialogues@blogspot.com

Oh for heaven's sake, here I am again. This morning I realized it's NOT MANGO Pineapple, it's PAPAYA Pineapple scrub. Mango/Papaya I guess I really don't know the difference...hehehe
